What is The Soul/Spirit – Part Three

We have looked very briefly at the soul and the spirit when alive on earth and now we shall look at the two together after we have died. They are both different and each is necessary to make the whole person while we are here. However, when we die and go to the spirit world, even though our spirit isn’t really needed any more, it stays with us for the duration we are in the spirit world as it is this that those we have left behind will recognise us by.We have no need for the spirit to go with us when we leave this world for any other reason than that stated.

It will not be taken with us if we are re-incarnated as we shall have a new body in our new life and that new body will have its own energy or spirit unique to each of us. It is my understanding that each of us will live many lifetimes and each of these will be very different from the other. Each time we come back here, we will have a different body and a different personality or energy field. That new energy field is our new spirit within us and the old one will have been cast off. If we had the same one and brought it back with us, it would be like re-incarnating the same person all over again with the same life and mistakes to be made and none of us would grow and learn the lessons we are here to learn. We would never progress.

The soul is a different matter. The soul is something within us that cannot be easily seen by others. It is so deep, that the majority of people we meet will not be able to see it or what it contains. It is this part of us that needs to grow and our body is merely a shell for it to be in while we are here. The soul is what makes the real us. The real depth of what we are truly made of that is not always shown to those we meet and is often hidden. If you meet people who are cold, uncaring, self-centred and egotistical, they are probably very new souls. They often have a shallow character and put on a false face to the world.

They are usually the ones who are filled with the most negative thoughts about everything as well. Quite a few of these people are so shallow that almost everyone they meet can see this about them and the ones who are least likely to care about it are those of the same nature. There are some who have been here several times before and should have learned their lessons from mistakes made. Using their free will, they prefer to remain unmoved by most things in life and don’t wish to progress. They like being selfish and using others for their own gain.

These people often only do good deeds if they can be seen to be doing them as I described before. They are much cleverer at hiding their real self from the world, but no matter how much they try to hide it from others, a medium will usually see though that. No matter how much we manage to hide things from the world, God always sees right into the soul. Even a thought is imprinted and left on the soul and taken with us.

The older and more evolved one’s soul is, the more compassionate, caring, giving, selfless and all other positive things one will be. People can all pretend to be something other than what they really are on the outside, but the soul is where the real person lies. It is what is in the soul that really matters. We will all have to live as many lives as it takes until we learn the lessons we need in order to progress. For some it will be quicker than others.

One day, we shall be allowed to stay in the spirit world as all our earthly lessons have been learned. We will get to a stage when we are allowed to choose for ourselves if we wish to return or if we want to stay there. Only then will we be allowed to work from the spirit world on a higher level to help mediums and healers who are of this world. I only know these things as the spirit world themselves told me these things to put in a book for you all to read. It is in my first book, A Guide’s Guide to Mediumship and Healing. In that book, they touch on re-incarnation and give a little information to us. It is in the spirit world that our real work starts. We will all have a path to follow even there – death is not the end, it is but the beginning.
