Easter is the most special, holiest time of the Christian calendar. Today is not only special because it marks Christ rising again after all His sufferings and death for our sakes, but also because it marks the start of new beginnings.
No matter what life has brought us in our past, no matter how bad it may have been, how severe and prolonged our sufferings have been that we shared with Christ, like Him, today marks the start of our new life too, of hope.
His rising from the dead brings us new starts, bringing hope for many who have suffered in a variety of ways. Take that hope and carry it in your heart today. Trust in God that He will help you on your path that’s taking you into new life, new dreams and new experiences that will hopefully, only be happy ones.
Whatever your life, whatever your hopes and dreams, may today be the beginning of all Christ promises us as we walk through life with God by our side. Remember, suffering is good, as we share our sufferings with Christ’s. It’s our sufferings that teach us the most and help us grow. Without suffering, we’d not understand just how wonderful happier times truly are, that they too are a gift of God.
Like Christ, embrace all you suffer in life and know this is what has helped you most, brought you closer to God as you placed your trust in Him and know that how you bear those sufferings, offer them up to God, is what will eventually bring you everlasting life in Paradise, just as it brought everlasting life to Jesus.
Go forward today in hope. Put a new spring in your every step, trust in God that everything is for a reason, but most of all remember today is the first day of your new life, just as it is His.
