Very few claiming to be Christians or believers in God actually are. They are in name only, but their claim falls on stony ground, because their actions, words and state of heart and mind belie everything they claim to be.
The Church is in a mess, but that mess is mainly due to those sitting within places of worship who are pretending to be pure of heart and yet who are judgemental and nasty in the extreme. The churches may be half empty today, but it would be better if they were even emptier, cleared of those hypocrites still sitting within them.
I visit the Vatican News page on Facebook regularly and there is more venom by so-called Catholics aimed at the pope, the Church and at the good people who ask others to pray for them, than there is anywhere else.
Their venom towards anyone and everyone defending the pope, asking people to pray hard due to recognising the need for the rest of us to be active in prayer and support, is what shows us Satan is more active in the Church than anyone of you believe him to be.
He speaks through every single one of those people, as he is what lies in their hearts, not God as they claim. Anyone with God within them would not speak, act or behave as they are. They are a disgrace, and it is they who need to be cleansed from our churches or other places of worship just as much as those they condemn.
There is none worse than hypocrites pretending to follow, love and serve God, but whose behaviour is worse than those they judge and speak badly of. Their punishments will be greater than those they sit judgement upon, because they are no better. God despises a hypocrite and that is what they are.
I’ve talked of this often, especially in my books, but it was never more necessary for people to recognise what they are and how they’re behaving than it is right now. They need to look deep within at their own hearts and minds. See how their behaviour, words and actions are what displease God.
One day, we will all sit in God’s judgement, but how much worse for those who judged others and condemned them wishing bad things on them, while forgetting to look at their own behaviour and repent their own sins.
You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15: 7-9
Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 1 John 2:9
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. Romans 2: 1-5
